Selection Saturday, 9:10 p.m.

Absolute insanity in Cleveland, Miami appeared to have the MAC title won with a mad bank shot. However, after eight minutes of discussion, the refs realize they didn't start the clock immediately after Akron missed a free throw. .6 ended up back on the clock, so the Zips had one more chance. The inbound was thrown out of bounds, so the Redhawks get in the Dance. Akron now owes the good people at Quicken Loans Arena a new table to replace the one broken on the errant inbound pass.

Your play-in game should be set for Tuesday. Jackson State beat Mississippi Valley State to make the field. The Tigers and Florida A&M have the two lowest RPIs in the field, the usual measuring stick for the Tuesday game in Dayton.

UNLV came from behind to beat BYU for the Mountain West title. I think that should give the Rebels a top four seed. We'll see for sure tomorrow.

Utah State and New Mexico State just started in Las Cruces. Again, the Aggies will win.
